I’m not sad, it’s these Onions!

I grow 3 types of onions: red, yellow (sweet Spanish), and white.  Onions tend to be a staple that everyone uses in cooking.  Personally I dislike onions and if I find them in my food I will pick them out.  Though I do love onion rings, mmm.

Common onions are normally available in three colour varieties. Yellow onions, are full-flavoured and are the onions of choice for everyday use, with many cultivars bred specifically to demonstrate this sweetness. Yellow onions turn a rich, dark brown when caramelised and give French onion soup its sweet flavour. The red onion  is a good choice for fresh use when its colour livens up the dish; it is also used in grilling. White onions are the traditional onions used in classic Mexican cuisine; they have a golden colour when cooked and a particularly sweet flavour when sautéed.   Source

Onions tend to add flavor to any dish, except I haven’t heard of a drink that uses onions or a dessert.  Got any recipes to prove me wrong?

The easiest way to grow onions is from sets.  I grow both onions from sets and seeds.  I start my seeds end of Feb. because onions take forever to grow into big full sized bulbs.
