It gives many different colors of eggplant: white, green, purple-black, light purple, purple with white stripes.  It also gives different shapes: oval, cylinder, small egg shaped, and round.  Eggplant belongs to the nightshade family and botanically speaking it’s a fruit.  I sell both plants and the vegetables.

It is quite easy to grow eggplant, but Colorado potato beetles LOVE eggplant so you need to watch the plants for bugs.  I find eggplant tends to be a cultural food, some people love eggplant and some have no idea what to do with it.  If you never had eggplant I would suggest trying it deep fried first.  Any vegetable deep fried is amazing, not healthy, but so good.
